The Art Department, NY is a capital region based collective that features the artwork of:

Gretchen Almeida: Our Founder, is an illustrator with a fine tuning for oddities, folklore, history, and witchcraft. While she focuses mainly in ink, watercolor, and acrylic, many of her works dabble in other media. She can be found on all socials as Gretcheliseart.

Mike Stone: also known as Ivy Isle Art, he is an abstract architect with a fascination with stained glass. He focuses on reusing old historic windows destined to be sent to waste to build new pieces and breathe new life into glass unattainable by today's standard.

We do also feature the casual works of Emily Almeida, a capital region based hair stylist who enjoys making suncatchers and decorative baubles in leisure.

The Art Department, NY is a capital region based art collective aimed to build connections and bring more art in areas of art deserts. Formed originally in Guilderland, New York the focus is to bring artistic expression throughout the capital region and created a community.
